HSBC to Increase Investment in UK Branches by ~30% Next Yr

HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) has extended its commitment to retain 327 local branches in the UK until at least 2027, foreign media reported. The company also announced plans to invest GBP55.8 million in UK branches next year, up around 33% YoY, which will be used for renovation and modernization. HSBC UK stated that the usage of local branches remains strong, with an average of 825,000 visits per branch per month, and self-service transactions exceeding 2 million per month.
